THE Hot and Healthy's Blog

Nutritious and delicious!

This powerhouse food contains 18 amino acids, protein, folic acid and many vitamins.  It is also rich in minerals including iron, magnesium, phorphorus, zinc, and chromium, and selenium.  Vegetarians will be happy to hop on the Nutritional Yeast bandwagon because it is one of the few non-animal sources of B-12.  The dairy deprived lactose intolerant will love Nutritional Yeast’s cheesy taste.

Angela Kukhahn makes an excellent Kale Salad with Nutritional Yeast.  She makes the salad with kale, mixed greens, fresh chopped onion, sliced grape tomatoes, avocado, olive oil, braggs liquid aminos, apple cider vinegar and of course lots of nutritional yeast.  The recipe is easy, very nutritious and tasty.  You can pick up Nutritional Yeast at a local health food store.  It’s also awesome on top of popcorn, in soups or with veggies!
